It is that time of year again, "winter", when we get to complain about how "cold" it is! I know that it is not really cold but we still dont have double glazing and this year we dont even have any heating - we have a small fan heater to take the chill off - and our house is not as well insulated as the last place - worst still, we have lost our electric blanket!

I have succumbed to the pressure and bought a pair of Ugg boots (or Ugly boots as they are known)


They may be hideous but they are super warm and if I thought I could get away with it, I would wear them to work!

It has also been quite wet, to carry on the theme from summer - we have had 110 mm of rain in the first 10 days of June (the monthly average for June is 128!)
