Today is the official start to the World Youth Day celebrations with an opening mass at Barangaroo (insane Australian names) which is the bit of Darling Harbour just up from my office which means, of course, most of the roads around my office are shut, the office is in "security" mode (amusingly it means the receptionists are sitting in our office lobby instead of the swish reception area on level 15) and there are millions of touroids/pilgrims all over the place.

More annoyingly they are playing music to keep them entertained (it is lunch time and the mass doesn't start until 4.30pm) so we can hear the base and some of the tune - just enough to be annoying!
